The Quarter Threshold

In the dark and early hours of Monday, February 9, the Moon at 20º of Scorpio squares off with the Sun at 20º Aquarius, where we cross the final threshold into the energetic waters of eclipse territory. Whatever is demanding to be dislodged from the depths of ones psyche may be sensed around this day. It’s giving ones body information to physically, emotionally and mentally prepare for the liberating instability that this first eclipse in Aquarius will bring in one week. Survival and security desires will be heightened as ones deeper self feels the incoming changes, which may threaten all kinds of set and established patterns, relationships, ways of making money, tribal identities and unconscious defense mechanisms.

Locked and loaded

The issue is that Scorpio and Aquarius are both fixed signs, meaning that we are far less willing to part with whatever is being stirred up. Our bodies register survival and safety with familiarity and known factors of life. The unknown is scary territory, and yet this is where that Aquarian wild streak can thrive as it blasts apart the old, radically reorients the structures and perspectives of our lives, and crystallizes future potentials into the present. The universe is always listening, so prepare to receive what one has been asking for as we get closer to the February 17th North Node eclipse, though most likely it will appear in a form or fashion that you could not have possibly dreamed of. Yippee kai yay.

The Moon will go on to oppose Uranus at 27º Taurus, and then square Venus, who is at the final, anaretic degree of Aquarius later on the 9th. The building instability of financial markets, personal resources, and relationships that have relied on some worn out power dynamics will have give us the opportunity to channel this energy into forging a new level of strength, resilience, courageousness and power within our hearts and bodies. This is not a time of dissolution or letting the experiences of this energy scatter you, even with the potential ex/implosions of reality. Your heart field is a powerful, generative force of nature that can harness these potent global power shifts to use the energies and create something that your heart and humanity can truly benefit from. This should point you in a direction out of the crossroads.

Right around the witching hour of February 10th, Venus hops the dimensional boundaries of the universe to return to the Source of creation in the waters of Pisces. This blessed event will be operating in the background throughout eclipse season, so even though we are coming up on some icebergs and shitty ditches to navigate this next month, Venus will be an ever-present guide gifting us expanded wells of compassion, trust and support along the way. Most notably will be her coherent trine to Jupiter in Cancer around February 22, which also has the Moon in Taurus that day. There’s a restoration that happens here; restoring ones emotional waters, restoring ones faith in the expansion underway, and restoring connections to Earth and ones body. Set yourself up for a day of baths, feasts, creative wanderings and general enjoyment of what is.
