The Magician's Road Ahead

Mercury currently treads water at 9º of Pisces with the North Node amplifying the past 3 weeks’ series of confounding and obfuscated lessons unraveling before our eyes. Objective reality has seemingly dissolved, so engaging with people has taken on a very strange flavor as the subjective realities that people construct their worlds from interact. For some this has invited a new level of observer status, watching how the story bubbles of multiple people bump up against each other, with all of their thoughts contained in their own little world painting the vision of their reality, but completely disconnected from the world occurring outside of the bubble. For those in these bubble realities they really got busy this retrograde, reinforcing the walls with good doses of convictions, delusions and prayers to assorted deities and entities beseeched.

Beliefs are powerful forces that can be very enchanting, and as long as enough people feed into them they can create quite convincing worlds to exist and play in. Objective reality still exists outside of the spiritual realm that Pisces governs though, and Saturn starting to pull away from Neptune’s illusory waters will be revealing the consequences of what we are enacting as it gains firepower in Aries. Mercury will be joining these two from April 16 - 20 which will first activate a reckoning with the fantasies one has lived within for 14 years, and then land an anchor to bare bones life as it is. Mars is also co-present here adding the potential for harsh severances and violent communication, but also a sudden change of direction as fresh motivations and inspirations blast into ones head.

But I’m kind of getting ahead here, so back to Mercury just now moving ahead of the North Node as it retreads 9º - 22º of Pisces, which completes the shadow retrograde period on April 9. The following card pull is guidance for the blessed resolution of all of the confusion and dissonance and general strangeness that the retrograde that began on February 26 brought up.

The central theme here is the 9 of Cups, Jupiter in Pisces, meaning there are major life lessons and wisdom being imparted here that benefit our soul’s expansion. There’s an ending implied here as the elevated highs and joys of ones life undergo a final scrutiny by forces larger than humans. Jupiter is the ultimate judge and teacher on the spiritual path, opening new opportunities to reframe things such as the ideas one holds about spirituality, ones personal meaning of life, and how feelings and emotions may lead one astray. The Hierophant supports this process of breaking apart illusions, with Taurus rooted firmly to the Earth and the basic principles of building and maintaining life. Fanciful stories, facades, masks and principles that cannot bear the weight of tangible reality will meet Jupiter to decide what makes it through this judgement process to become a part of the new infrastructure. Which brings us to The Universe, governed by the great architect of Saturn who is taking the pieces of golden wisdom and universal truths that cannot be twisted around to serve ones personal agendas, and using these to create this new reality that is divinely connected to these cosmic forces of life. For some who have been working within these creation principles in a grounded way, this will be an incredible experience as ones powers of co-creation could really start to open up in new ways. While for others who have projected their will untethered and misaligned, Saturn’s realignment to these constructive realities will bear more suffering and sacrifice as the psychological impact will burst ones ego structure to start building on real ground. The 7 of Swords above gives this period of time a much more objective and detached quality with the Moon in Aquarius here. Do not let emotions run the show here, as this will interrupt the reorganization that is operating far beyond the emotional sphere of life. Remain somewhat aloof to yourself most of all, letting go of attachments to belief structures, your self image as a do-gooder humanitarian, and identity with any kind of group or organization. These next few weeks may still feel quite strange and have an alienating tone to them as these shifts work their way through our lives, so feeling weird and alone means you’re doing it! The last card being the Prince of Swords leaves us with the needed action of cutting out distractions and chaos makers in our lives if we are to head in the direction that spirit is guiding us. This is the mantra of praying with both feet moving, there are necessary things we must enact and it’s not going to be as neat and tidy as we’d probably like it to be. The Prince is a knight in training, so there’s some immaturity and messiness to how he severs these people, thoughts, beliefs and situations from his life. It’s ok. Such is life at times.

An additional note we have Mars at the world ending 29º of Pisces on April 8, and entering its intense home fires of Aries on the 9th at pretty much the exact same time that Mercury hits new waters at 23º Pisces! So the severing action is REAL. And it will reverberate through the whole world. Make the most of this powerful energy around April 8 to clear things that have accumulated the past 2 years that are no longer in service to your new becoming.
